Wood! The Greengate Range

The Bailey Street Furniture group offers many street furniture design solutions crafted in wood. For example the Greengate Bench is a hard wearing but low maintenance outdoor social collection. This series has been designed to work easily together to create numerous configurations. 

Each piece of furniture is clad in either hardwood or softwood timber slats, which are treated with an external stain to increase the lifespan. A galvanised finish comes as standard and it can also be powder coated to most BS or RAL colours too.

The elements can be easily arranged to suit any seating requirements for public outdoor spaces, giving a superb coordinated look.

Available in either hardwood or softwood, this is a sustainable product from a versatile range, one which looks superb in any outdoor environment. Each piece comes as standard in Douglas Fir, a softwood.

Douglas Fir can vary in colour based upon the age and location of the tree. Usually a light brown colour with a hint of red and/or yellow, with darker growth rings.

The grain is generally straight with a medium to coarse texture, and moderate natural luster.

Douglas-Fir heartwood is rated to be moderately durable in regard to decay, but is susceptible to insect attack.
