Italian Partner, Metalco, Wins Two Red Dot Design Awards

Our Italian design partners, Metalco, have received the prestigious Red Dot Design Award for two products in their eclectic and forward-thinking product portfolio.

Air-Circle is a table with integrated stools, designed by architect Massimo Tasca. Air-Circle offers people the possibility to relax in the open air while also encouraging sociability, a value which Metalco strongly believes in.

Kore is a wave-like concrete bench that can be connected together. Designed by architect Michele Slaviero, Kore perfectly combines aesthetics and functionality.

What is the Red Dot Award?

The Red Dot Award is an international design competition that was started in 1955. It has three categories: product design, communication design, and design concepts. Red Dot is known worldwide for putting a spotlight on designers and good design. 

The jury only awards those that meet the seal of quality that sets them apart. The winners receive certificates, attendance to the awards ceremony and there is plenty of online media attention.
